Congratulations to the audio tech! At last, just one high quality AB stereo pair in precisely the right place. You know what you’re doing! Thank you. (Retired Audio Tech, 40 years in studio, concert, film, tv. Loved it until they invented computers!)

The New York Classical Players bring a modern, polished interpretation to Mozart’s Divertimento in D Major, focusing on clarity, precision, and a grand orchestral sound. Their use of modern instruments and dynamic range creates a vibrant, expressive performance with a more powerful presence in larger spaces.

The presto movement just jumps with the energy and vigor of a 16 year old boy, which he was at the time.

Stunning performances. Mozart's Divertimento's K136, K137, and K138 are my personal favorite classical pieces of all time.

Words fail - The rarefied atmosphere of Mozart's divertimenti leaves me intoxicated as though I had inhaled a canister of pure oxygen for an hour.

For a very long time, I've been hoping to find a performance which handles the sumptuous suspensions of the slow movement so 'deliciously' - and here it is.
Coupled with superb interpretations of the outer movements, this is the recording for me!
So often, the first movement is just that bit rushed, and perfunctory-sounding : here, the phrase groups have all been thought about, and 'punctuated' beautifully in performance, while still maintaining an 'Allegro'.
Bravi!

we're playing this in orchestra, and it's so fun to play! and also pretty easy me as a bassist

Edit:actually keeping the correct tempo as a sort of "rhythm" section proved to be quite difficult

Great performance on this beautiful piece! One of the reasons why I like this version is that there’re four verses for the first movement (Allegro) which makes me feel more completed, while most recordings only have three verses for that movement, such as Karajan’s version.
