Nothing can replace tombow mono, as the material of eraser is designed to be hard so that it can erase to detail, apsara eraser is good alternative for beginners to learn to use eraser for highlights, but not for finer work

I have both but the biggest issue with apsara is it is good for intermediate but as you move to advance you can't achieve thin and white likes with apsara the quality of the eraser is low so even after multiple strokes the blackness will be there but the eraser lead come with mono is hard and only in one, two strokes make sharp highlights.

Ps - mono can be found in 200-250 in local market please don't mislead beginner artist by showing high prices . I also did 1.5 year of art practice then bought the mono but it was a need not want 🙂

A good intermediate tool to use if you don’t have the money for a tombow, it’s best to use it only for the most fine, obsessive erasing, because it’s an extremely high quality eraser, but it’s honestly not nearly as much as like, any comparable medium-width pump eraser. I’m a fan of the Sanford Tuff Stuff Eraser Stick, it can even be sharpened to a fine point with a standard pencil sharpener for a similar point as the tombow extra fine

bro, most monochrome eraser at that cost are battery operated so they don't need friction to erase, also they are cheap 250. To use that 20 lrs eraser you have to rub it hard.

If for beginners better to use doms coz apsara's grip is gone
Its capacity to erase was great but the grip worn out so whenever I erase the eraser goes in n doesn't come back

Sorry, Apsara eraser cannot replace Tombow Mono zero quality wise. I buy neither Apsara nor Tombow zero, as I don't need any of them.
However I have a Tombow Mono block eraser from last 2 years which cost around ₹45. It is enough.
