1:21 to 2:00 is probably one of the best melodic sequences I’ve ever heard. It’s just so perfect

I know it's not a sad scene or anything but it was so beautiful I almost shed a man tear.

I love when they revealed the chalkboard. It's like Komi-san's first actual conversation that she's ever had with a friend.

Seeing the words “You can forget any of this happened.” and “See you.” Being erased really punched right to my soul as someone who’s had trouble opening up before. It made me want to go into the screen myself and give that girl a hug.

But what Tadano did, writing on the chalkboard to communicate, putting them on equal footing AND basically saying that he was there for her…

I gotta be honest, the first time it happened, I genuinely started crying.

Up to date with the manga within a week and I have to say, this song symbolises Shouko-chan's growth in the most emotional and beautiful way. This one week and two day journey... I hope it will extend for many more days, months or even years. To see her grow is like seeing your child or good friend grow up into their dream. Will forever be my favourite.

When you use 50% of the season budget just for a 6 min segment in episode 1.

The rest of this season has to to try really hard if it is going to try to top this ost.

I understand this scene is supposed to be very emotional and touching…
However I just can’t stop thinking out loud to these two: “YOU GONNA BE LATE FOR CLASS!”

For me, its emotional, because how tadano is helping komi by chalk writing, is like a normal person is helping a autistic person communicate in different way, and help making friends. Thats why😢

Lie down.
Try not to cry.
Cry a lot.
Want to hug Komi-san.
Want to pet Komi-san.

Hashimoto’s work on Toradora was MAGNIFICENT so I have high hopes for Komi-san’s soundtrack. This song is already iconic 🔥🔥🔥

These are the kinds of music that move me. Reminds me of "Shigatsu wa kimi no uso"

I can see this song playing at the end of the series and then when the music swells at 1:21 to 2:00 it's like a flashback of all the friends that she made. Sort of like a slideshow of each one and as the music begins to calm down it'd be a picture of Tadano and all the moments him and Komi had together and how much he helped her. Then for the second swell around the 3 minute mark it'd be her looking forward to her future. Spoilers below for those who care

I honestly think it'd be so nice if this played and then ended with Tadano and Komi being married

Honestly, I think this is one, if not the, best scene I have seen in any media ever. Shed a solid man tear on that one. It's a shame that the rest of the show did not live up to it.

this song just makes me wanna lie down in my room, cover myself with a blanket, listen to this song and just realizing that none of anything is real

I have been listening to this on repeat for several days. It is very good.

The chalkboard scene was brilliant in the manga. This means that many a manga fan sat with baited breath for the anime to get the scene right or wrong. In the anime, this theme combined with the montage way it was animated and the falling chalk that resembled snow made an already beautiful scene into something that should be iconic the world around.

Imagine, if they play this Ost again when Chadano confesses(spoilers I'm sorry), oh man it would be great seeing that scene animated and hearing this Ost.

When the piano for this kicked in, as you hear what Komi has struggled through, it gets the eyes watering REALLY hard.

As someone who was bullied growing up, I felt the same way that Komi did when she couldn't communicate with others. Sitting alone, not having anyone to talk to, having no one to be friends with, and the only people being the ones who harass you that come over to you when you have lunch is awful. That's been years ago for me, but the experience never leaves you. Even now, with me having people I know in real life, over the internet, having genuine friends... none of that changes what has happened. You still have those hard times you remember.

To say this scene hit me hard, and then uplifted me when Tadano started talking to Komi is an understatement. The way she felt is the way I felt when I made a genuine friend later when someone became my friend after going through that rough period in my life.

Such an amazing song and such an amazing scene. I'm beyond excited to see where this show goes next.
