I enjoy flying in to hotels and restaurants, not as easy in a fixed wing

Speaking of you can land wherever you want to.. you're in the New York City area. I've spent a lot of time on Google maps just looking at different things. They're a lot of helicopter pads on buildings. Do you have to get special permission to land on those from like FFA or the building owner or if you need to can you just land on them??? You know food for thought. I was curious about 2 months ago and was on Google maps did you know that the police headquarters is the only police station with a helicopter pad none of the other district stations have helicopter pad on the roof. It's only the main headquarters. That one kind of baffles me it just would make sense for a captain that has to oversee something in a different department. To just go up to the roof and get a ride rather than a 2-hour car ride to the other side of the city. Or take the subway. But yeah my main question.. what can anybody flying a helicopter whether it's an emergency or whatever land on the roof of those buildings or are they like no-fly zones.
