#TenThumbsBluesChallenge - Day 5 - Introducing The Blues Scale!!!!

Every great blues musician or any fan of the blues in general knows that in addition to howling rhythm and ghostly lyrics the blues would be nothing would be nothing without gorgeous solos and fire licks and fills. Today I am going to introduce you to the blues scale on the ukulele and then I am going to show you how to use it to create fills. We are going to have to different options and ideas depending on your skill level that you can play no matter what your level and you can participate no matter where you are in our journey.

This specific tutorial is going to turn the scale into a tool of rhythm. You can use scales to solo, create fills, or even basic rhythm ideas. This is going to be a rhythmic based lesson, you can feel free to explore the scale and move it around, play it anyway you want, have fun with it! It is very forgiving and you can do whatever you want with it!

I am taking this slow but learning a lot! I just noticed you use your thumb on the picking, I had been using all 4 fingers to pick. I will give it a try. Thanks for another great lesson!

After practicing the 5 position in A minor pentatonic with Tyler, I was able to find the the G minor pentatonic without any problems in this 2nd position. Sweet! I'm half way there.
