once the polymer clay has been baked and glazed is it safe to put it through the oxidizing process?

What varnish is that? I've been having a varnish fiasco lately. I bought a vanish you normally use for acrylic paint after someone suggested it but it's too brittle making it easy to scratch and pile off. Then I tried two different polyurethane floor finishes from another suggestion. The semi-gloss likes to stay tacky and the high-gloss is really nice and hard but is way too shiny for what I want.


Do you have any advice on picking out good varnish? I didn't think it would be such a struggle to find something that works. Mostly I want one that can seal the clay after painting or adding powders that can stand up to water exposure and wear. D:
