AK can't always win - but that's a classic battle. Honestly, the only mistake you made was not securing that they run it twice. He said at least twice "it's up to you". Yes he initially said run it once, and if I had JJ against AK I would have been a little more forceful about only running it once. But when he gave you the control, you should have taken it, and looked the dealer in the eye and said "Run it twice please."

See how those people called quickly behind his raise? That means one or 2 or them are canceling out your cards. At least one ace was folded there. Its something the great players think about and is almost like card counting. If they all folded quick you would have a great chance of hitting one. But the quick calls would have made me play it very cautiously.

I don't hate just calling to see a flop there- it helps you get away from it if there are no diamonds which dramatically decreases your odds of winning the hand- all about feel though
