2021 Honda Civic 1.5 VTEC Turbo | sgCarMart Reviews

The mid-sized sedan segment is as crowded as ever, but the 11th generation Honda Civic could still be worth a look. Honda has built a solid reputation for the Civic over the decades as a good all around and affordable family sedan. We find out if this new one will entice Singapore buyers.

Overall looks to be a good all rounder drive but most consumers will find it hard to justify the $20+k premium over the Avante, Ceratos, Mazda3, or Altis.

This new Civic looks older than the outgoing model. If that’s even possible…

A Honda will always be a Honda. As such, Kah Motors should not try to push their luck and price it like a low end conti. How is a japanese car worth 133k? It just doesn’t make sense when there so many equivalent models out there.

this 1.5T - 127bhp
previous Jazz 1.5 NA - 129bhp

the turbo do what?

Sgcarmart should consider including an acceleration test in their reviews. Rather than use subjective terms like acceleration thrust. Like how foreign car review does. With sport mode and without. At least some real world figures would be useful for us to consider rather than vague subjective terms.

133k is not the worst thing. Went to kah ubi today to see the actual new civic and there is no white led headlights. Orange head lights are looking quite outdated for 2021.

Kah Motor used to sell both the 1.5t (cat B) and 1.6na (cat A) 10th-gen Civic. The 1.5t cost 20-30k more than the 1.6na.

KM discontinued the 1.5t after a short few years and they are left with only 1.6na for sale before the launch of this new 11-gen Civic. Was told by the sales staff that the 1.6na outsold 1.5t for almost 8:2. I guess that’s true as most Civic 10-gens on the road are mostly halogen bulbs with IVTEC badge on the rear. This could explain why KM didn’t launch a cat B version of the new 11-gen

I will personally give Honda a miss this season. Don’t know what happened to the design.

Is Kah Motor blind, who will buy something with halogens in 2021.

Won't buy....133k and no sunroof, no electric seat, no ventilated seats, 16in rims, halogen headlamps...ugly and that detuned engine is hard to justify the price

Went to Leng Kee Kah Motor to test drive . Couldn't justify the price point. Bought a Mazda 3 instead and am happy with the tech n price.

My god, it look a little bit hideous out of the factory compared with Civic 10th gen. There’s no distinctive difference between Accord in terms of the design wise.

I don’t see this Civic 11th Gen will be able to top off the Civic 10th Gen.

No amount of marketing can get people to part with 133k for a civic 🤣

Could you please review the Honda ZR-V

Was looking forward to the All New Civic with “Touring” trim specifications until the disappointing specifications revealed at Kah Motor’s virtual launch. What’s with the detuned Civic 127 bhp instead of 180 bhp just to fit into the Cat A COE segment. Doesn’t make any sense at all to Civic enthusiasts. Pricing aside, when compared with the Touring-equivalent specifications in overseas markets, the lack of sunroof, Honda Sensing, LED headlamps, full digital cockpit display, electric front seats, and 18 inch wheels are just turn-offs. Nuff said. It is a “Won’t Buy” for me.

Unfortunately, the price tag compared to the others like Mazda 3 and Hyundai Avante on the market makes it a no for me.
