Arizona Governor-elect Katie Hobbs asks judge to dismiss Kari Lake's election lawsuit

In a 19-page motion, Governor-elect Hobbs, who defeated Republican Party gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake in the November election, says the judge in the case should not indulge lake a minute longer than it takes to dismiss her lawsuit. Lake has asked a judge to either appoint her as Governor, or hold a new statewide election. Hobbs and her lawyers, meanwhile, said the suit points to no evidence of Election Day fraud, and fails to point out any actual misconduct.

Oh so that’s what Hobbs looks like. I was beginning to think she was a myth.

How can you dismiss a hearing to present evidence. It just doesn't get any more tyrannical. Hobbs is really digging herself deeper.

her lawyer trying to bully the judge didn't go over like he thought

If Kari Lake rightfully proves her case and wins. Katie Hobbs should never be allowed to hold any office in government again.

That's concerning. A Secretary of State is not supposed to ask the judge to do something.

It is my understanding the lawsuit does not allege fraud, but does indicate issues affecting voting the day of election impacting more votes than the margin that Hobbs won by. This is a clear and sound case that deserves to be reviewed.

If this was the 1800s, all these people would’ve been in jail or death by hanging as soon as possible

Not to mention does anyone else find it strange that Maricopa county happens to make up about 60% of the voting population in Arizona and have been showing trends of a rise in Republican registered voters?

Not sure why Fox posted this. Lake just won the lawsuit and they're moving forward with it. I'm surprised at Fox. 🤷🏽‍♂️

The title should say, “Prisoner-Elect Katie Hobbs…”

Voting got off to a glitchy start in Maricopa County on Tuesday morning because of widespread issues involving the machines that count voters' ballots.

All of the county's 223 voting locations opened on time, but an hour into the election, voters and poll workers at some sites started reporting issues with tabulators. Initially, officials estimated that about 10% of polling places were experiencing problems.

That estimate got raised to 20% and then 30% of the county's voting locations before officials found and fixed the issue — timing marks that had been printed on ballots.

Judge denies Hobbs motion to dismiss. Counts II - Illegal Tabulator Configurations and Count IV - Ballot Chain of Custody are being brought to trial on 12/22 - 12/23. Say hello to your new Governor Kari Lake.
