I feel so bad for the lady who spoke concerning Crossroads Development. That's the same treatment you get when speaking at an Asheville City Council meeting - and at zoning meetings. I know they could care less what the public has to say - they just vote on items and approve them then ask for public input - which they totally ignore and aren't ashamed to thumb their noses at you. As far as the County Commissioners - there are a couple that do appear to really listen and speak out for the good of the county. The rest are nothing but Asheville City Council puppets and are allowing the City Council to move in and ruin the county like they have the city. Citizens of the county aren't allowed to vote on City Council - but the Council can sure make decisions that affect the county - and you can rest assured - it's never for the good of the homeowners. I can't for the life of me understand why all of our County Commissions don't look out for us. Somedays I feel like giving up and say just jerk the damn band aid off - cut down every tree in sight and pour concrete over everything - that's what you're doing an acre at a time anyway. Asheville was once known as "cool green" - those days are quickly passing. And another thing - do you think you can do something about all the litter - don't we have litter laws? We have the nastiest streets and roads of any WNC county. It's embarrassing.
