Quick rundown of the parts and cost associated with upgrading my home internet. I dabbed into UniFi stuff a little with the USG and some access points but the house really needed to have a nice rack so I could properly terminate all of the ethernet cables.

Man this is CLEEEAN!! Great work. All the small touches don't go unseen by sysadmins!

What I was going to post has already been said but I am sure you won't mind one more compliment. Really Awesome Rack!

great little rack setup. I migrated from a USG 3 and a CK Gen2 to the UDMPro very easily. Just used a backup from the previous day, all the 3 AP's and 2 switches re-adopted with no issues.

One of the nicest clean setup videos I've seen, my 9U rack is finally setup and looks great, I wish I could share a pic here. But your rack is beautiful.

The ADJ switch is a brilliant idea! I can't tell you how many times I've have to reach behind a device to unplug it to reboot it, and then had the hardest time re-plugging it by feel.

@morejelloplease Neat setup for home network rack. Two observations, I noticed no grounding wire for the CATV / RG6 cabling and the bend radius of the RG6 coaxial cables at the center roll appear to go beyond 90 degree angle which will damage the pvc insulator inside and could create RF micro reflections inducing errors into your cable modem. Both deficiencies can cause cable modem errors reducing bandwidth, dropped packets, and increased latency. These are two problems were fixed in my home without cost with the help of my ISP.

How did you mount the UPS to the side securely? Nice compact setup that gets the job done. Great video.

What label maker did you use for black on clear? Great look.

Thanks for the video! simple and clean! One question: What did you use to hold the UPS on the side?

Really clean setup ! 😊 Any ideas on how to manage the coax splitter inside the rack without the need of an extra in-wall cabinet ?

Nice Setup! Do you experience any signal loss with such large coax splitter?

Wow i keep your build a reference for my futur home network. I have a question why do you keep the white box near side your modem cable ?

Neat setup but a word of caution, the patch cables. Skinies esecially when claiming to be CAT6a are very lossy and prone to noise. They simply cannot perform like a conventional 23AWG conductor, insulation and sheilding. Should only be used for short data runs and low powered PoE. Even the UBNT skinny cables are bad news.

How did you mount your UPS like that on the right?

Can you add the links for everything, please?

This is what I have but with a 6U cabinet. I'm upgrading to a 9U to make way for the new PDU Pro and a few more things and trying to keep everything white and silver, we'll see how it goes.
