Tsutako's Fiance was the one who got attacked, Tsutako was sent away to their relatives to grieve. Giyuu saw her fiance die and wanted to do anything to stop anything from happening to tsutako. He was walking through the streets one day when he bumped into Sabito and Urokodaki. He was invited to train to become a demon slayer. The rest is just the same, However instead of him having a gloomy personality he inherited Sabito's personality (Just like how muichiro started acting like yuichiro)

Giyuu shouldnt have sabitos haori- since tsutako never died, giyuu and sabito wouldve never met. Giyuu only met sabito because he ran away from his village
