Just forgot to mention the high amount of money that researchers have to spend to see their papers published.

(1) Know the right people in your field (2) have a fancy affiliation (3) know how to lie and hide it from the reviewers (4) schmooze with the Nature editors at a conference

So basically if your paper in nature is cited over 300 times you don't have to worry about your carreer as a scientist ever again

Don't forget the part where you don't fucking pay them for a damn thing...

Now if they allowed open access to all of the papers that would be nice. As some of this research is government funded.

Scientific journals once again, publish RESEARCH not NEWS. And they publish research that is academically inclined, complete with citations, evidence, graphs, charts, and other proper tools needed to justify a thesis. They may publish something that could challenge dogma, but only if the work is significant and has an extensive researched background.

I think the platform of publishers like Nature or any other publication sector is old in 2019.

I would suggest an open platform for anyone to give critical feedback in a forum like youtube. Because we care.

Awesome 👍 paper publications sensitive filtering is not desired because many delited items will have values so stereo publication is fundamental and application of thoughts 🤔💭are secondaries

If you don't care, don't impede the work of scientists who actually use the laboratory.

Oh, how I wish NPG / Macmillan Publishers / Georg von Holtzbrinck Publishing Group was a public company, and I was a shareholder ;)

Peer review != Censorship

Nature decides if the content is appropriate for their publication (e.g. Is the research interesting for a broad science audience? Is the research of outstanding scientific importance). If it's appropriate they submit it to peer-review. The paper is then given to several scientists who are experts in the topic that the paper is about. These scientists can say things like "Hey this is great", or "you need [insert statistic or analysis or other changes]".
