I've literally watched 100s of "How to Wheelie Videos" because well I can't freaking do them :( This is the only time I've heard to keep your arms extended and look-up. Holy crap took the trials bike out in the yard for 10 min today and was getting the front wheel 2x higher and traveling 6-10 feet :) Thank You !!!!

That explanation of the body being back to lower the front wheel and achieve balance point is the best tip I've heard to date! Great video!

Thanks Tire Guy, after watching lots of how to wheelie you are the only one that has explained the balance point of leaning back so the front wheel doesnt have come off the ground as far. Best explanation ever.

Rich you definitely have a talent for explaining the techniques, and breaking them down into steps that makes learning to do them much easier. Thank you. You have helped make me a better rider.

The more you are forward with your body, the more concentrated the weight distribution is, so it's easier to wheelie over and the overall filling is zippier.
The more you are leaning backward- the mass distribution is WIDER, so the balance point IS wider too... It's called "Moment of inertia"!
Great video!

Marks stuggles are most everyones struggles. This was actually "real" for those of us who cant. I wish I had a pit bike to practice on vs my 250FX. Thanks for keeping it real.

Keeping the body back is something that makes sense. This is the best wheelie video I’ve seen . Counter intuitive is a great explanation

Instinctively hunching forward during the wheelie which shifts the balance point even further back is exactly what i needed to know. This great explanation will get me closer to nailing it. Thanks Rich!!

Yes! Thank you very much. The narration and new learner scenario was very well done. Rich, you are a very talented teacher/instructor. Thank you for your time.

Best wheelie video so far!

Best advice I can give is exactly what you say. Start with the foot on the rear brake. Pop up and then brake. And this is gonna feel reeeeally weird, but you can brake AND be on the throttle. You want to pop straight to balance, then keep a smooth steady throttle, and brake as you need it.

I’m still trying to perfect it. I got a ABS wheelie bar on my WR250R and it’s the perfect machine to learn.

By far the best explanation of what is happening when you are doing a wheelie I have seen. All the other videos say just do this and you should be doing them without any effort. It makes perfect sense. Thank You !!

A lot of good tips in here. A big breakthrough for me was to look straight ahead when popping up (rather than down at the bike) and waiting for the bars to come into view before tapping the rear brake to bring it back down. Then I gradually started looking up a bit higher.

Thanks!! Make's way more sense going back and forth instead of just watching someone who already knows how to wheelie . Also thank you Mark for being the student!
