Interesting. I'm in the next little town Ceres we do have interesting climate that can grow pretty much anything if given a little water.

I am from Modesto also, probably few blocks from you. Your tropical garden is very beautiful and aspirational. We have guava trees and it does well here in Modesto. Would it be possible for you to share where you got the banana, star fruit and avacado seeds from and what variety they are. I would like to start my own tropical garden. I am originally from Fiji Islands and miss the fresh tropical fruits.

That is incredible!! You have done so much with the land you have. I'm very impressed. I'd do the same thing here in Palm Springs if I weren't so worried about about resale. It seems everyone here wants a pool and spa. *sigh* oh if I could just let go of my concern about that I'd do the samething you are doing. Nice garden, I love it.
