No one wanted to host multiplayer lobbies because when you were host, you had 0 lag and no bullets had a delay which was too easy with the sniper lol

This game man... the atmosphere of the prison intro level with the hanging bodies, the silence until you meet the locust cutting the door for the first time. Despite this I was scared but not afraid to push forward and fight on.

gears 1-3 main menu's really are something special. Gears 1 coming off as a somber sad theme in a broken world with blood and destruction. Gears 2 still feeling the same way but a bit more actionful and having some more high notes representing a much better spot the characters are in. And then gears 3 with a much more hopeful and powerful score with hints of that sad somberness that's been carried throughout the whole series

Only time in my life that I bought a console after playing a demo in GameStop. Born 1996. I remember playing gears of war at GameStop around august, September, or October 2006. The chainsaw on the guns and the cover combat blew me away and for Christmas 2006, I got a Xbox 360 and this game. We didn’t have internet until 2008, but I loved campaign and atmosphere. Eventually I got good at online with the rest of the gear games lol.
