HUL reports net profit at Rs 1,881 crore in Q1; L&T to deliver Q1 quarterly earnings today

Axis Bank: The private lender reported a decline of 19 per cent in its net profit for the first quarter (Q1) of 2020-21 due to accounting policy changes and creation of NII reserves. The lender posted a net profit of Rs 1,112 crore net profit during Q1 from Rs 1,370 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

Hindustan Unilever: The FMCG maker reported a 7.18 per cent year-on-year (YoY) rise in standalone net profit at Rs 1,881 crore for the quarter ended June 30. It had reported a net profit of Rs 1,755 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Bajaj Finserv: The NBFC reported a 44 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,215 crore in the first quarter ended June of the current fiscal year, mainly on the back of good earnings from its insurance subsidiaries

India Mart
B2B e-commerce company Indiamart Intermesh on Tuesday posted an over two-fold jump in its consolidated profit at Rs 76.4 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2020, compared to Rs 32.1 crore profit in the same period a year ago. The total income of the company increased 16.4 per cent to Rs 184.65 crore during the reported quarter from Rs 158.57 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2019-20.

L&T
Engineering conglomerate Larsen & Toubro will deliver its Q1 quarterly earnings today. The ET NOW poll estimates that Q1 will be a painful quarter led by lockdown, concerns on supply-side plus migrant labour issues and deferment of ordering activity. Revenues are seen declining by 29% to `21,088 cr with domestic projects impacted more than international ones. Profit is seen higher by 44% largely due to steady performance in IT&TS and Financial services sector. Margins are seen at 9.2% vs 11.1% relatively stable due to higher contribution from Services business.
