Canon mv630i tape eject problem

My canon mv630i camcorder will not eject the tape - partial solution to get the tape out.

I have a similar camera that I bought new back in 2006 but I don't use it anymore but it's nice to see people are still interested in it and it brings back a lot of memories .

we have the same problem. I managed to work on the right side where the spring is as shown on your video, but on the other side, I couldn't clearly see where and how you pulled out that portion or how it completely open out. What did you do after to make it work as usual

Actually, it was a helpful temporary fix as you stated in the video. I wanted to reinsert a cassette that I had removed, but was previously unable to replace. I have now replaced it, so I am temporarily satisfied. However, it will not play the casstte. I get a message to eject the tape, which is why I removed it the first time.

i use this camcorder to archive old DV footage to MP4. its a workhorse of a camcorder and much cheaper than buying a dedicated deck.

Had the same issue also, it's to do with the power. If you have it plugged in to a power source via the power cable then it seems to work fine, whereas if you have the battery on its own (I.e. not plugged in) then you'll have issues. The battery doesn't seem to hold enough charge over time to open the tape deck well enough without extra juice!

Had the same problem. Was copying old tapes but when I didn't replace the previous tape (left it empty) and closed, it would not open again. Now with a tape in there, I hope it will open properly again. ... No it didn't. Will continue to use the temp fix. Thanks.

I've the pbm that without cassette The mechanism works perfectly but when I put cassette inside It doesn't close completely but stops at half run and after a while it opens again...no way. ..do you ( or some reader) have any suggestion please? Thanks in advance
Ps: My cam is a different model...The eject button And mechanism are on The right Side. .

I have a cannon es170. It won't eject out! This is the kind that pushes the cartridge out 45 degrees. It's stuck.. It's got old tape in there. What do I do?

Здравствуйте, у меня тоже проблема не открывается касето приёмник. Вашим способом открылся спасибо, но ставлю кассету и запускаю просмотр или перемотку то камера зажевывает ленту на кассете. Кто-нибудь сталкивался с этой проблемой? Подскажите как быть что сделать можно?

My Sony camcorder has the same eject problem ... the cassette is inside of the camcorder and is not coming out :(

I just don't know why camera tripod aren't used all the time...
And proper lighting.. turn on the lights...
