On this weeks Video

we test out a 2009 Mitsubishi lancer evolution 10! the only EVO never to receive the famous 4G63 engine.. will find out just how good the car actually is.. and if it should have been given a 4G63 engine.
This car did have some aftermarket bits on it.. headlights/ taillights, carbon lip spliter, carbon side conards, also a aftermarket turbo back exhaust and intake..

Its also a fact that the 4B11t is an all around better engine than the 4G63 unless you plan on exceeding 1200whp, then the 4G63 is better due to the closed deck iron block.

Love my evo x. It's not just the power. For the price you get an amazing handling car. It's too fun on the twisties. Not too many cars in the price range can compete. Its just a huge plus that the engine can handle more power reliably

They had to change the 4g63 to 4b11t due to emissions

Awesome car! Had the opportunity to own an evo 9 and evo X both tune to push 400hp+ and never had any issues with them! Super fun to drive and relatively comfortable when you have family and kids. Looking to go back into Evolution again!

I have a evo III, and a M5 E60. Evo is just so good, so mechanical, so pure. I swapped the engine myself and did some porting and polishing, changed the turbo and this feather-weight magic just moves. Sometimes it gets scary, but man ALIVE this car is just so good. I wonder if the Evo X delivers the same mechanical experience.

You're spot on about 2nd gear Ross. Most of the Evo's have a high final drive around 4.5 (4.8 for the RS models) and it really shows when you floor

All manual evo X’s are 5 speed. The only 6 gear transmission is the MR edition and they are auto/SST.

4b11 is better than a 4g63 in my opinion.

You can tune it to 800hp. Doesn’t matter it’s 4G63 or not. Still good.

this was the car in NFS Shift i used most for most of the races . i only choose other cars when category was different . otherwise it was my first choice, i used to love the corner speed, well balanced machine .
