A Ryobi 18v tool today. An outdoor surface scrubber powered by the 18v one+ Ryobi battery system, or in this case, a Makita 18v battery. How scrubby is it?

Please check your battery system before ordering.

Greetings from Sweden. I just bought one of these to clean my ten year old 30m2 deck (patio). This Ryobi surprised me *a lot...* I would have been satisfied if it removed 50-75% of the dirt, but this surface cleaner removed almost everything. And fast! I used not only water but also added environment-friendly washing powder. The result was beyond expectation. Highly recommend this tool if you don't have a 200 m2 deck... or bigger.

One of the only reviewers of battery operated tools to suggest using adapters to other platforms..I’m always looking at these tools saying “I’ll get an adapter to use my Milwaukee batteries !”..well done!

The way you say “Deck“ gets me everytime.

I've been impressed by the Ryobi 18v: belt sander, pole saw (saved me a bucket load of money), 18g nailer and glue gun. All powered by Makita batteries. I think the deck cleaner might just be my next lime green purchase.

listening to you talk about your dirty deck earned a sub from me

Great review. After my own 20 year hiatus of buying a Ryobi tool (for the same reason you had), you convinced me I should try this one. Then I discover I can not find it in the USA.

Most important info from that video: the Makita > Ryobi battery adapter :)

Ryobi will start making USB-C PD (Power Delivery). This way I’ll be able to use Makita battery to charge my laptop.

I like Makita, but they need to understand that they are also in the “big battery” market, not only tools. They starting with fridge and lantern and vacuum cleaner, so there is only few things I’m missing for camping :)

Great video. I have new limestone paving and I want to avoid using a power hose as it destroys the grouting. This looks promising. Thanks.

Great video. My husband is a Ryobi fanatic so I’m sure this will be our next purchase. The good news is that this will encourage him to clean. The bad news is, I’ll find him also scrubbing rocks, especially when he’s trying to look busy to avoid a task he doesn’t want to do 😂

I was looking for reviews on the 18v Ryobi chainsaw p549 and p2520 (kit part#s). This video was recommended and my curiosity made me click on it. I really enjoy your review style and accent. I’ll subscribe and check out some of your other videos!

Do you think this would be good as a power broom for fluffing up artificial turf?

Just bought the same battery adapter so I can use the Ryobi 18 gauge brad nailer with my makita batteries. You should check out Ryobis P320.

Wow that is pretty awesome. The adapters are perfect for these situations.

Hello, those battery adapters don’t have low voltage protection meaning they’ll run your batteries till they are dead dead. That tech is in Milwaukee batteries also to protect them also ryobi tools don’t have LBP

Thanks man. Just watched this video and bought the patio scrubber. You're no fan of Ryobi which gave this review even more wait.
Cleaned my decking up perfectly 👍

Can that D handle be mounted higher (even if it requires a modification)? They also sell a metal tile Grove brush for that unit which is quite nice.
I've seen a bigger 2 stroke rotary brush system, which was superb. This is like a baby size one, but quite effective.

I have seen reviews that considered that this tool was rubbish, but your video proved otherwise.

Ryobi battery link is broken here in AUS 21/9/22.

Im Makita user but Ive been tempted by the Ryobi dethatcher because Mikita doesn't make one. The adapter's would make it work!
