YOU CAN ROTATE THE MAGNIFYING GLASS BY PUTTING IT BETWEEN TWO FINGERS & TURN.

I ALWAYS want to know the dramas of Teresa’s life, because you tell them with such humour and flair.

That chatelaine is so gorgeous! Every single chart I've seen being stitched on green is so lovely! The prettiest is Amy Globetrotting stitcher Royal Holiday 💕 Oh my word, that sewing box is the best I've ever seen!

Teresa, regarding your red buttons. Look up Tim Holtz alcohol inks. This ink can be used on plastic. I believe he has a cranberry alcohol ink color. The ink comes in small bottles and cost $3 or $4 US dollars. This would be simple to do and may solve your problem. Good luck.

Hi. I have just subscribed to your channel and I love watching your videos. I have been an avid knitter for years and I have just picked up counted cross stitch again after many years. I just have suggestions for you on your knitting project actually. You can drop down just those stitches where you made the holes. I think you just made yarn overs where they shouldn’t have been you can then just re knit those stitches using a cross het hook. Also Malabrigo yarn is pure wool. Look up on you tube how to make a spit join to join your new skein. You basically wet the ends of you yarn and then place them in you palm and rub between your hands. This will felt the yarn together and you won’t have to work in the edges. I do it all the time. I am just starting my first full coverage cross stitch and I watched your video on this. You gave me so many clues on how to proceed so I think you very much. It is coming slow but I am really enjoying it.

Hi I’m from South Africa and came across your site. So lovely to hear all

You’re probably already finished with the winter piece with the red button, but if you have any alcohol markers you can use one to darken the red.

Completely understand the struggle with finding a magnifying lamp that meets your needs. Below is the one I got from Amazon in the US. I'm not sure if this one is available in the UK but maybe something similar. It has a nice big magnifier without that little circle that magnifies more that I agree is totally worthless. It has a screw clamp that opens really wide to clamp to a table (I have mine on my light adapter for my Lowery). The arm can adjust to however you need it. The light has 3 different settings including a yellow, bright white, and lower off white. It's not rechargable, but it is a USB plug so you can plug it into a portable charger. Have a great week.

I really enjoyed all of your stitching projects and "rabbit hole" projects. As far as knitting goes, here a few tips. I would frog back to where your holes are in the shrug. Yep, I know it will be a pain but you'll be happier in the end. To join yarn when you need to start a new ball (using your swift and ball winder), here's what you do....If your wool is 100% wool with no nylon etc...when you get about 12 inches from the end of your working yarn, take that end abour 2" and wet it, (I just suck on it) and the start of your new ball about 2" and do the same thing, wet it. Lay the two ends in the palm of one hand horizontal to each other with one end going to the left and the other end going to the right. Rub your two palms together vigorously in an up a down motion for 15 seconds or so. Your yarn will be permanently fused together., and there will be no weaving in the ends. It's called, oddly enough a Spit Join. So frog back, to your holes ( don't worry about the one in the beginning) and carry on. You'll be much happier in the long run. Hopes this helps. If not contact me and I will try to send you photos or video of what I mean. Take care and happy stitching.

A fat 1/16 means it's approximately 9 inches by 11 inches big. It's a measure of how big the fabric is and the way it is cut from a standard yard of fabric.

Could you try using a brown Sharpie pen to darken up your mini buttons? They don't appear too much brighter. Always enjoy seeing your projects, beautiful work. Thanks for sharing.

I so enjoy your company! I've saved quite a few of your tutorials as I hope to venture into a large project this new year. I am such a slow stitcher it seems. But I have made an "intention" for 2022 and have succeeded in stitching 11 days in a row!

I do want to add that you have such a marvelous modern home and I love your color scheme! Its fits your personality perfectly! I've never seen such a streamlined kitchen! I enjoy cooking and it looks fantastic! You always make me smile, so thank you my friend💕

On your knitting, it looks like you stopped mid row, then went back the other way when you started again. Then another spot it looks like you did two stitches in one stitch. There are several ways to join yarn. First is knotting the yarn, (please don’t), second, is weaving the yarn as you go, third is German join (YouTube how to do this)

Keep knitting and you will get at socks some day! You also will find you can stop mid row on knitting just as easily as you can with cross stitch one you learn to read your knitting more. For the holes, you have somehow knit into the yarn between two stitches and made new ones... Your chatelaine is incredible, I don't think it shows how much work goes into it!

Thank you Teresa for your update and showing us all the exciting things you ordered or were given for your birthday. The sewing box is absolutely gorgeous and I can see you getting the matching items for your knitting (it would be rude not to) Oh and now you are sending me over to Owl Forest Embroidery and looking at needle minders and considering a warm shrug. I need to slow down and breathe. Thank you for your lovely words about the retreat, it has made me feel reassured. Your stitching as always looks so lovely and alternative reality is really coming on now, you can really see the picture emerging. You are doing really well for a new knitter honestly, I just think there was a couple of yarn overs that you have not noticed, but that comes with experience to spot them before you knit them. A tip I always end and start a ball of wool at one of the sides that way you can weave the tail in so easily. You will be knitting socks in no time!!
