Look pretty good, has a dying fish effect or leech look. Like was commented, if a toothy fish attacks it, it'll cut the line since the line is running across the lure.

Several correct comments about fish's teeth biting line. A steel leader might solve, but would it impede the action? I think this is an interesting lure, but I wouldn't even try it with just fish line.

This lure puts the line in the fishes mouth. Teeth and line equal a broken line.

It looks like it might have a harder time hooking a fish the way the hook has to be placed. And if you do hook it I'm assuming deep in the gut so I'm guessing it's not the best for a quick catch and release.

I took apart a steel wire and this is the ultimate connection...won't bite the line now....

Line getting chew off is not the issue here, it's still the same, there's no disadvantages.
-However, nose-hooking would do the same thing, what's so special??

Tried it in a river and the current was strong enough it wouldn’t unfold and just formed a rubber ball!! I guess it’s for calm waters only!!
