On your first point of entitlement. I think we all feel that at the beginning. I know I did. Then I saw a clip from Armin Van Burren that put everything into perspective. He said something along the lines of

“you’re complaining that people aren’t reacting to your music, or the labels are turning you down. Then you proceed to say that you’re better than all these other people..but you’re not. And until you are, you may not get the engagement you think you deserve”

That snapped me out of that real fast and definitely changed my perspective on how hard I needed to work
