I did a similar upgrade on my '91 Land Cruiser (4.0L I6) with 2" lift an 33" tires, otherwise stock. Went from stock 1 hole injectors to 12 hole. I noticed improvement in part throttle response, a little bit more power to maintain speed, and 1-2 mpg more depending on city/hwy mix.

I have fully adjustable short arm lift (Currie). After I took my TJ and had laser aligned all the way around it jumped about 2 mpg. It was amazing how far things were out of alignment.

Wonder why your mileage is so bad in both before and after. My 1997 4.0 gets 18mpg. I just cleaned my factory injectors with a ultrasonic cleaner using Lucas injector cleaner. I was having leak down issues causing long cranking. The cleaning made a HUGE difference. It starts right up and runs a lot smoother. I will have to see if mileage improves.

I have cracked and leaking down injectors on my 02 wj with the 4.7, definitely wanna try these since reman injectors aren’t that much cheaper anyway

Any concerns with the heat shrink and solder crimps under normal operating temperatures? Any possibility of the solder reflowing due to the heat from the manifold? They seem to be a very low melting point if a heat gun can flow the solder.

HIIII so I watched your video to help me do my ball joints by myself! And I totally did them thanks to you! But I can’t get my passenger side axle shaft back into place. It’s the same axle, there’s nothing lodged inside from what I see. Is there ANYTHING you can do to help 😭 I’ve been at this for a week. And I move in a few days and need my Jeep back on its feet.

I was not able to see what time of year it was when you were doing your mileage tests with the new injectors. If you were running winter blended fuel for the original injector test, and non-winter blended fuel while testing the new injectors, there was probably no actual gain in mileage. In fact you may have lost mileage. I am not convinced you did an accurate apples to apples comparison.
