After suffering my spinal cord injury i have really had to adapt in life. So Im showing you my disability lifestyle to raise disability awareness. As a disabled woman and a woman in a wheelchair who is paralysed, I thought it would be interesting for you to see, and hopefully give you some inspiration and motivation so that you can live more independently. wether you are paraplegic or quadriplegic I hope that I can help you. The wheelsnoheels message is “so no one has to feel alone.”

I have lots of interesting disability videos, a lot of videos on how to cope with a disability and living life in a wheelchair, wether you are a girl boy woman or man. i have some paraplegic exercise videos, and advice. its important to keep your fitness levels up as much as possible as this can when physically and mentally with depression.

If you feel I have given you value today consider buying me a ko-fi, just think of it as a tip.

I know a blind woman who was told if SHE prayed hard enough, she'd get her sight back. (not with 2 glass eyes she won't)

Omg. The "Reacher", I've had so many lately since moving to a new town. I've been using my scooter mostly in town but told my husband that I'm going back to my manual chair that way I wont feel as guilty when I run over toes.😂😜

Funny and so true. Haven't had many reaches, a few preachers and several medical experts. Please do more, need a good laugh every now and then.

Our daughter who is an ambient wheelchair user can to a church function once - we had taken her out of chair down the front to ‘dance’ my son was maybe 13 at the time and wasn’t interested so decided to sit in her chair down back of church- someone came along wanting to pray for the poor child I. The wheelchair- my son couldn’t help but jump up and scream I’m cured! Took me ages before I went back to that church

I was at the store once and I’m in my chair I was looking at cheese and this lady pushed me out of her way like I was a CART twice and now I lock my wheels. 🤦😞♿️

If I had a nickel for every person who shouted scripture at me and wanted to pray for Jesus to heal me, I’d have enough money to pay them all to leave me alone, and to do something that might tangibly help people who legitimately need the support.

0:18 OMG yes, that's definitely happened. And she did it right there in the art gallery I volunteer at. Thankfully it was a slow day at work so there weren't any patrons, but .... what if it had been busy? YIKES!

brilliant and ooh so gross I've experienced all. can I add a few for next one? IF answer is no thats perfectly fine your the expert I've just shed the L plates. The random pusher. imagine you stopped for a moment to catch your breath, or recover after hill climb or even to do something normal like read a text, and suddenly a total stranger pushes you. some day I'll have the courage to say something like do you need me to give you a hand moving your feet. this has even happened while I'm pushing myself getting my fingers trapped and causing broken fingers. really! not so plesent.... Those who ask can they help you reply no thanks or its OK I can manage SO SO POLIETLY but they still ignore you and do it anyway. Maddening. the worst most dangerous is when were transferring and as well as standing and staring and trying to get your things for you leaning over your chair so you can head butt them ( not my thing) , when the try to lift you on to your chair. if its not welcome or requested its not a good idea, as well as dangerous for us both. If you are not trained or able to let wheelchair user guide you as to what they need or don't then back away. bad enough if you know the person but worse if total random passer by. We are humans same as you. unless we've grown up on wheels we came to it gradually or swiftly, and in a lot of eases with a lot of adjustments and struggles a chair does not make us less it is a valuable tool like a good quality pair of walking shoes. Being a wheelie meens I've overcome obstacles, I'm determined to be indepndant, I can do most things (yes adaptions are sometimes required) we can and will ask for help if required or even accept OFFERED assistance when needed but please please simply allow the member of the wheelie the dignity and opportunity to keep you both safe by asking how you can best assist, then listen and follow relevant guidelines. I can say with certainty that we are all different and at different stages of our wheelie journey but we are the same as those who ware out rubber on their shoes instead of tyres sorry my first ever post turned into a rant, uuuppps. your such an encouragement love your blogs, Thank you. Nia from Ireland.

Oh gods, the reachers. Why can't they just say "excuse me"?

My response to "Can I pray for you?" from strangers is "I already have plenty of people praying for me. Please will you use the time to pray for an end to child abuse instead?"

Her face when the "preacher" put his hand on her head, and when he kept preaching! 😂

Great short video! I've had all of the above happen to me. This lady won't stop praying for me every time she sees me. I asked her to stop, didn't work, now I just keep moving along... quickly. 😩

Whenever I have someone reach over me to get something when I'm out shopping, I remind them to get deodorant because the last thing that I want to smell when I'm out shopping in my chair is to smell someone's stinky arm pits.

Had to shut down a “but medical science is t nearly as good as *insert BS theory*” a while ago.

What I really don’t get is how the “preachers” fail to recall Luke 18:35-42.
In fact have that up your sleeve for the next time.

Oh shit I think I'm a reacher... I'm very unaware of my surroundings sometimes especially when I'm overstimulated and tired. I go on a sort of autopilot where I tend to contort around people or around spaces and I think I've done that around people too where I'd reach around for things. Just because I am autistic doesn't mean I get a pass on such things.
I'll do better and try to take a break if I'm feeling overwhelmed instead of push through

I have unfortunately met all of these... though recently only the reacher
