I haven't played this game, but from what I've heard about Invasion mode that makes it more hilarious is the fact your enemy can see your kill cam/bullet cam with you when you shoot them.

Great seeing a big player actually embracing Authentic difficulty, which is the only way I play Sniper Elite (although yet to pick up 5). The AI really is adaptive and intelligent much of the time. They don’t just run head long at you.. if they find out where you are, some will come around the map and cut off an escape route and take you out from behind. They will take cover, throw grenades in, use their superior numbers to pin you down. It’s a fantastic dynamic for forcing you as a sniper to embrace continuous movement after any kill that draws attention, and seeing stealth and hiding as two of your top weapons to increase the odds in your favour.

Also very cool to see the PVP matches after the mission. It’s a lot more realistic than Battlefield in a lot of ways, it would be great if Rebellion would set up some servers for this, because the lag looks limiting. Also generally another reason to have both third and first person play possible - because matches like this should be 100% locked to first person for the optimal level playing field. Side note: get to see just how damn good Tomographic is vs average players.

I'm now addicted to Axis Invasion. Here's 3 tips that may help you.
1. If you're unsure whether you're up against a solo or duo, press Esc and look in the bottom right, there will be 1 or 2 players listed. There's also an on-screen popup saying "An enemy sniper has joined" but it's easy to miss as you start setting up.
2. Try to avoid close fights. They still have the bullshit wall hacks "focus" or whatever it's called. If you're close they can probably see you with their bullshit x-ray vision hacks. In my opinion this should be disabled if you allow invasion.
3. Whenever you see an ally tag them with your binoculars. Tagging puts the tagged ally/enemy on the map and they will show the last spotted enemy location. The main reason to do this is because even if your allies don't spot the enemy, you can look at the map and see where your friendly tags are disappearing, this gives you a rough idea where the enemy sniper is without having to rely on phones or listening for gunshots/explosions etc.

My knowledge isn't entirely new so there's more likely than not a few details that are off in what i'm about to say, but from what I remember, rat bombs were bombs that would be put in rat corpses to detonate whenever the Axis forces would go to clean the area or investigate the rats since rats were often seen in trench warfare or subterranian bunkers. It actually caused so much paranoia within the german ranks that they would evacuate bunkers and trenches at the first sight of a dead rat
