Explanation:

Before Nakime's arrival, most demons has their own house/a safe place to stay [But not as safe as the infinity fortress]

One day, Akaza decided to go to Koku's base with Koku's permission ofc and play around a bit since he never visit it before.
As he was wondering around, he accidentally knocked over Kokushibou's plate that was on the table and definitely freaked out.

Akaza was scared because he knows that he couldn't match Kokushibou's power since he train under him so he decided to go to the only man who is stronger than him and that is Muzan.

At the end of the day, Akaza was never punished for what he did and Koku got a new plate.
