Imagine that fellow, forlorn, sad and weary walking down that long lane to his residence, the love of his life gone, no longer in it. Memories of how warm and cozy it would be with her in twilight on a dark snowy afternoon with a Lettermen song like this playing while you snuggled by the fire. I can remember that feeling in my stomach, the profound emptiness from the loss. Alcohol would be heavily applied to numb but the opposite effect was the reality. It happened to me breaking up with the love of my life when I moved from Ohio to Canada in highschool. 17 years of longing and misery. Watching the wires all night in Vietnam...so deeply alone. Then we reunited at a reunion and have now been married for 37 years. The Lettermen is and always was our group. Thank you God.

This became our song in the winter of 1963 . 59 years later it still is.

My boyfriend, now husband of 53 years listened to "Our Winter Love" when we were teenagers. The radio station we listened to back in 1969 in Philly was WIBAGE, with Hi Lyte. He was the best. My husband bought the CD 10 years ago. Love it.

This song takes me back to 1968 to my first love. I just found out he passed away a few months ago. My heart breaks listening to this song and remembering those long ago wonderful memories

I was a young kid when I first heard Bill Purcells' instrumental version. I was even younger when Percy Faith's a Summer Place came out. These are just 2 of my mello favorites that instantly transform me back to a mello time in my childhood when the world was still sane.

I've always thought this was one of The Lettermen's finest recordings.

My Grandfather Johnny Cowell wrote the music for this song. The lettermen did a fabulous job with this!

What a superb little gem. Heard it for the first time today on the radio - occasionally I still get pleasantly surprised 😊

I was a high school senior and dating Patty Croslin, a beautiful young lady in 63' and we sat in my car at Frosty root beer in Little Rock listening to this. She's gone now, and my heart burns at the memory of those times. The lump in my throat is much too large to swallow.

Just heard this on Pandora. What a beautiful song. The music today is nothing like this clean music of the Letterman.
