That sailing story is insane. Guy is lucky to be alive.

One of the best videos I’ve watched in a long time. Thank you Heath for your contribution to skateboarding and sharing your thoughts and feelings about life in general. This was very inspiring.

There's a part of this that makes me love him as a person, it's when he's talking about retiring and says something to the effect of as a 35 year old man still skating professionally is just blocking these amazing young skaters from getting paid. That is a level of empathy and understanding that is beautiful to see.

that mega ramp story is fucking nuts. not only to do the mega, but to 360 it with a broken collarbone is insane

If this doesn’t show you what life is about, it’s hard to explain. Love this

This dude single-handedly helped my crippling anxiety by showing me how to find joy in uncertainty. His philosophy on life saved mine. So thank you Heath.

I love that quote “if everything went right, it wouldn’t be an adventure” 🤙

I have tried to do huge tricks on a skateboard. I have the utmost respect for the mind set Heath has. It takes a certain type of person. You can't fake it or pretend to be that way. Heath is authentic and genuine. Dude is a legend

Skateboardering after 30 for some reason the concrete just doesn't give like it used to. Snow and waves on the other hand can be much more forgiving and offers arguably even more satisfaction.

I worked at WoodWard for 7 summers, Heath is the only guy i've ever "fanned out" a little bit about meeting... he is a Myth and a Legend. Also one of the nicest guys I got to meet. he was super nice to all the campers and was stoked to give out gift cards to the kids at the contests

this was always my favorite epicly later'd. As a kid growing up in skateboarding and first seeing Heath tear it up Birdhouse's 'The End' he instantly became a favorite of mine. There will never be a pro skater as talented and as mysterious as he is and that's what I love about him.

This just gave me a huge boost to get up and do something. Have more meaning and live life with a sense of adventure or just something to experience! I’ve grown up watching Heath and skated as long as him a few years younger and I’ve always thought he was the real deal! Still do but now with a respect that transcends his skateboarding! Thank you for giving me a new prospective!

Heath is a once in a lifetime great in skateboarding. The fact that he felt like his stay gold (and last parts leading up to it) weren’t up to the standard of other skaters at the time is crazy. I came into skateboarding in that era 2009-ish and heaths footage was always the coolest and gnarliest
