All I really have from my Dad is an autographed Reggie Jackson bat that he loved. I wish I had more. So, you're lucky brother.

My dad had a 1963 Slingerland set that he got when he was a kid. Later in life he got a Ludwig Vistalite kit that didn’t have a bass drum, so he stripped his Slingerland Bass drum and painted it Blue to match the Vistalites. He gave me that Kit for graduating High School.

I used to take the lugs off all the time and they worked exactly like this drum. The spurs are almost identical also, except the one I had were like an ice pick or something.

They were in my dad’s house when it burnt down after he passed away.

I see you suggest Low Boy kick beaters. Can you do a review on them or tell us why you like them? Really curious. Seems like I am seeing them more and more lately. I see such nice bass drum beaters with all kinds of adjustments and stuff. These seem so simple. No angle adjustment even. Whats the advantage??
