Purple makes so much sense, seeing as Hawk was somewhat good, while aggressive, in season 1. However, in 2-3 he was brutal almost evil. He made the switch to purple as to symbolize true balance within by learning to combine both sides of his fighting techniques. Blue and red make purple, therefore, Hawk had achieved balance, the sole symbol in Mr.Miyagi’s teachings!

Hawk in season 1 was just badass. Yeah of course he was still kind of a jerk after his transformation but back then it was balanced and he wasn’t just a complete a**hole like in seasons 2-3 and I love the blue.

I think for season 6 he should go white on the main part of the mohawk for
Miyagi-Do and red on the tips of the mohawk for Eagle-Fang

His hair colour also represents where he is as a character really nicely. The bit where he has no hawk at the start is the one where he is the shy kid who gets bullied. The dark blue hawk is when he is gaining confidence and becoming a confident and a bit over the top kid he is more confident and more respected and popular and he loves it but he's not really sure how to handle it. The red hawk is when he is proper unhinged and out of control and turned into a bully and after years of being put down all he wants is to keep gaining status and he often does that by picking on others and trying to distance himself from his bullied nerd past. The purple hawk is like a middle ground when he is over the bully phase and chose his old best mate Dmitri over status and cobra kai. He is still overconfident and respected but has realised he doesn't have to but a bully with it. Cobra kai cutting his hair is when he almost goes back to square one. He lost all his status has no interest in karate and goes back to being under confident but he still has a lot of anger towards the world over what happened. The short and green hawk is him regaining his confidence and a bit of arrogance but without being completely over the top and the light blue is after he learns to be more humble while still being tough confident and respected. The problem now for the writers is where do they take his character arc now? It feels like they used up pretty much everything and I would hate to see him become more sidelined. Hope the writers come up with something
