Exploring the Edge of the Universe with Janna Levin | Podcast Highlights

What is beyond the edge of the universe? Is there even an edge at all? We revisit an episode where Neil deGrasse Tyson and comedian Chuck Nice explore the shape of the universe and all its dimensions with cosmologist, Janna Levin, PhD.

We start with the basics: is the universe infinite? Janna tells us why it’s still uncertain. Could those distant galaxies we see be images of our own galaxies in the past? We discuss why it’s so difficult to detect other dimensions, if they are even there in the first place, while Janna and Neil help us visualize a 4th dimension. Are higher dimensions too complex to sustain life? Find out more on how to think about dark matter and dark energy. Plus, Janna shares why she thinks the study of dark matter and dark energy are the most important fields of study in science today.

I do like how simple, yet rich in knowledge was talk done by Janna. It was so interesting and engaging to listen to. Most of those questions or theories won't be answered in my lifetime, but it is a good sign to see them being put out to examine.
To new format I can say I like it. I do like to listen to short form podcasts while working. They are short enough to fit between meetings and not disturbing enough to break of work. I hope there will still be more of those and more explainers.
