How to Draw on 3d Objects/Models In Procreate 5.2 Update (Tutorial)

I show how to use all the new 3d features in the Procreate 5.2 app for the iPad Pro. This update should works on all other newer iPads running procreate as well! I show how I customized a skateboard model as well as view the final results in AR. The update also allows you to change the environment the 3d model is in! I show how to do all of this in this tutorial!

If you want to color an object without taking away its texture map information, don't paint directly on the UV map. Create a layer on top of it, and tap on the little hexagon icon on the layer. You'll see three buttons called Color, Metallic and Roughness. Select Color and start painting. Now whatever you paint will affect only the color of the object and not the texture. As a rule of thumb, avoid painting on the UV maps directly because once you click out of the canvas, there's no way to get back the original textures.
