I personally loved the Blood Elf campaign and its unique faction ! That's what I love about Warcraft III, it's all the the possible split-factions we can make with the editor ! When I was a kid, I spent hours making a Skeletons vs Wood Elves map, and I had so much fun !

The original idea of Illidan being a Satyr makes so much sense. All the other elves who sought power through Fel became Satyrs. Even if his intentions were different, why should that change the outcome?

warcraft3 and frozen throne are still some of my favorite games of all time. I was very lucky to work with some of the people who created the game during my years at blizz and making some similar art on heroes of the storm but my biggest regret was that we never made warcraft4!

To this day I've never played anything that did such a great job of portraying so many of the different factions as flawed and sympathetic. What a special game.

My friends and I quote that god damn blood elf engineer to this day. It was so out of place for one the haughty and regal elves to just be a blathering nerd but it was extremely amusing and memorable. Thanks for making a game that was such an important part of my childhood so fun.

WarCraft 3 is special to me. The music, the menu screen etc.I had played it a lot in multiplayer at a friends house who had multiple computers (and only one license, heh) but never the campaign. I got into WoW and loved it, the lore etc. This was during Vanilla WoW. Hell, i still play it. My friends got into DotA, so i needed WC3 TFT. It was then, that i finally played the campaings of Reign of Chaos and The Frozen throne. I was blown away by how good it was, and how well it tied into the WoW lore etc. The journey you take with Arthas during the game was so cool

Such fantastic insights. Love Dave namedropping Mass Effect. An RPG on that level within the Warcraft universe would be a dream come true - of course, probably way too late for that now. I like the idea of a satyr character speaking like he is in a play by Shakespeare. The elven engineers lines are among the funniest in the game.

As someone who played it for the first time when I was 12 and became quite involved in the community of DotA and in general has in immense love for what you guys created. Especially considering how huge the leap from diablo 2 to 3 was. It was and is one of the largest impact games of the last 20 years.

Tower Defence games, Mobas. Even Among Us can be traced to Dark Deeds a great custom map as well. The impact is almost infinite.

Warcraft 3 was my favorite game growing up. It's what got me into PC gaming. I liked it so much at the time I wanted the whole Wow thing to be over with after vanilla so we could get back to Warcraft 4 lol.

23:15 That line seems to lack in many developers' interviews nowadays. It's like that line from D&D in the "about making" sections of one of S8 episodes: "She kinda forgot about it...". Yeah. Many developers tend to forget these details these times.
