Only about 100 people died so far in Australia. Response was swift, there’s excellent socialised health care, unemployment benefits, lots of sunshine and nature for free, and easy to protect borders. there also isn’t the same level of corporate/capitalist propaganda or financial elite controlling the narrative. Australia was trending towards the US capitalist cultural paradigm over the last 20 years privatising Medicare, education, postal services, public goods in general. Hopefully this puts a stop to that trend.

I'm 27 and just completed my masters. I left a steady job in banking to complete it. It's not a good job market out here for young people trying to start a career. Some days there is nothing better to do than spark up a doob and escape, no ones emailing or calling. At least it's something to do that doesnt feel hopeless.
