I think a lot of people are mistaken that a 120hz tv is needed when playing game. This Google TV was not designed for gaming although you can with slight lag due to processing from console input to processer to TV output as stated from Sony website. The 60hz is not the issue here just that there is no " Game Mode " and that is where Sony went wrong with this great TV. " Game Mode " what it does is bypasses the processor that processes enhancements like smoothing, motion blur, and 120hz.

This TV was made for a more intelligent civilisation. U.S sales got hampered by early reviews that complained about picture quality (nothing I noticed) and a fundamental SW upgrade came 6 months too late. Sony sales accountants discontinued it when their excel sheet graphs pointed the wrong way. What a stupid move. This should have been a strategic launch in all its iconic grandeur with some financial endurance to match.  It is an Android developer´s dream TV. You can develop Android apps on your laptop and debug on the 1080p screen with Android Debug Bridge (adb) over Wifi. Just wow. No other Sony TV ever comes close to the NSX series. It runs Android Honeycomb (Android 3) and has Ethernet and N speed Wifi with 5Ghz support as well. As a developer, imagine what your apps can do with that connectivity.
 I´m a happy owner so I have nothing to complain about. Your apps can access the file system of SD cards you plug in at the back, and so on.

The AC input (C8 male) is in a position just behind the VESA mounting plate, which makes it near impossible to plug in the Ac Cable (C7 Female ).

@jliverty yes 60hz is not the best refresh rate.. if you want clean and smooth movement, go for 120hz or higher.. if you want to spend a little less but get a very high refresh rate, plasma tvs have up to 600hz refresh rate.

I still have the 40” inch and can not update YouTube - no longer supported. Play store only allows a few apps to install, and none is YouTube. Chrome won’t update, Browser is very slow. But wondering what that port. Looks like a 30 pin connector wil do?

Ya if ur playing games and u like watching high speed content like sports you need a tv with 120 Hz refresh rate. This one just looks beautiful but its only 60 HZ. 60 Hz usually works for most people although you might notice a blur once in a while, when watching high speed content on a big screen you might wanna a tv with 120 Hz or higher

I had two of these tvs & remotes. The extra remote won't pair to the TV. New batteries. Amp light comes on but nothing else. I was hoping to use the extra remote. How do I?
