She didn't love him. He forced her to marry him by saying if she tried to leave him he would find her. He also threatened to slit his throat. She realized too late that she loved her husband Ernest. He was obsessed with her until the day he died. She felt contempt for him. It wasn't a love story. It was a nightmare.

I truly believe that he did love her. I believe that she was attracted to him being the King and what he could do for her. After he gave up so much for her ... how could she ever leave him. Simple she couldn't. That doesn't make it a true love story ❤. Just my opinion.

"Lacking a sense of direction", "the emotional demands on her were enormous", " to bolster him up, to make him feel better, to be his mother figure" etc. referring to Edward. I immediately thought of Prince Charles. He has the same needs from Camilla as Edward had of Wallce. WOW....Charles did get Edwards vast insecure DNA.
Edward wanting a title for Wallace, Harry wanting a title for Markle. These stores are so parallel, it's scary.
It is sad that Edward and Wallace never had a child. I wonder that if they had a child, Edward would not have wanted to share Wallace, being that he was obssessed with her. Hmmmm....interesting.

Edward loved being reprimanded by Wallis.
She would tell him to take out the garbage.
Make him wash the dishes.
If he was real bad he’d have to go to bed early without dinner.
Wallis ran the show and for some strange reason it turned Edward on.

Edward had no extra-marital affairs because he was unmarried. His married girlfriends, however, had extra-marital affairs with him.

Inaccurate, they were married on June 3, 1937 - not May. It is said because it was George Vs day.

Uhm it was not a great love story let alone a love story! They were just two manipulative people for their own reasons to get what they needed! Thank God the British government put a stop to these two before they handed England over to the nazis!

14:48, bowing out, this is unadulterated crap. the reality is a fascinating story of seriously flawed people, who are, herein, being interpreted in a ridiculously rosy fashion. Bye

All the love was one-sided. Wallace was drawn to the King by his power, his money and his social standing.

having read just about everything about the Windsors, it's amazing to me to hear that horses were a passion of Wallis'. Lots of dubious interpretations made herein.

I thought the uncle was Wallace's dads brother? Not her mothers brother?

This was Not a "love story" and should not be described as such. They were NATZI sympathetics who, If ZHITLR had Succeeded would have been reestablished as King and the Royal family as we know it Now would have been murdered like the Russian Zar in WWII which the King at that time refused to save his own family.
Font give glory to these two. They never d served any such Title as a Great Love story. She despised him, called him a child, and wished she'd ZNrver married him. Of course his S fication stole Queen Elizabeth's real desire to be just a wife and Mother. Ruined Prince Phillips career and his Passion for the military. I admired Queen Elizabeth II BUT God what an Awful mess the Church of England( a Made up RELIGEON so Henty the 8th could get rid of his wife for his mistress?) made of Do Many lives.
There is No Defense or Praise for these Two. One a Falanderer , user of women and the other a n SFULTERESS Many times over.
LOVE⁉️They didn't know the meaning of the word .

No love on her part. She wanted money and power. Her letters to her husband show that she overplayed her hand and was caught in a situation she never intended to go that far. He would have been a very weak king. He was very lax about the duties during his time as king.

The "perfect" love story does not exist, human beings are flawed, long relationships have ups and downs, good times and bad times, it Is an every day work and decision

It wasn't a :love" story, what a joke! They stayed together only because they had to. What would the world say about the farce of a marriage if they broke up. It was a sham. She never loved him.
