@norcobigfootrider I once drove a RWD station wagon for about 8 kilometers, sideways the whole way. It was in a surprise snowstorm, with some insane wheel ruts, and my snow tires were due to be installed in two days. I couldn't get traction to stop from slipping sideways when I accelerated from a standstill, so I let it go where it wanted, and drove home sideways.
I think I probably qualify to say "drift fail".
He should have eased off when he headed for the shoulder.

Props for learning on the track though. Honestly my tacoma can only spin in 1st gear and 2nd if it's wet. It's pretty hard to get the tires spinning consistently in 3rd even in snow. But that's probably more the result of 31" tires and a 4cyinder engine.

are you kidding me with the annotations

this reminds me a line from tokyo "my moms blind in one eye and she drifts better than this" lol

@cbiltcliffe Drifting on snow/ice is much easier than drifting on dry pavement. You barely need to touch the fuel to get sideways on ice/snow, it's quite simple to drift in the winter actually. As for on pavement, you need a lot more throttle control, if you give it too much you're going to do what happened in this video, and if you give it too little you're not going to get into a slide. Yes, you can ease off but if you were already too far into it it's not going to stop.

I see plenty of videos of his videos saying "failed drift" but i don't see any of him himself drifting...

For all those trolling, listen, you can talk about failed drift, when you get out there and try it yourself. Chances are, most of you haven't ever driven a vehicle at all, let alone driven a rear wheel drive vehicle in a drift situation, or even in snow or ice.

Drifting a short box truck is a bitch. I just figured out the chemistry for my truck and now im not bad, but Its not nearly as easy as a standard box or long box.

@norcobigfootrider Getting it sideways is easier on snow, but it's just as hard to control, because it's so easy to give it too much and get...well....more sideways. There's also traction inconsistencies due to salt, drifts, etc.

Besides, I'm not meaning 8 kilometers of sometimes sideways, sometimes straight, sometimes sideways the other way...
I mean, literally, sideways for the entire trip.

I must say though, it did wonders to stop the idiots from tailgating me....

Yes i have but the trucks they use are designed to drift not one from the street

not sure the truck has enough speed to shift the weight into the front tires for traction.

secondly, that guy skids, not drifts.

i used to drift a Dakota he's gotta get used to drifting with a long ass bed in the rear its not like drifting a passenger car where its not long as hell in the rear

yea thanks my mods are basicly my life.

just remember to compensate for the bed in the rear cause that's pulling you in the turns

The music in the background sounded like the beginning of "Love is Gone, " by David Guetta.
