It's ridiculous how Google cannot get explanations right. It's either too complicated or outdated or plain wrong, or all of it together. Google never fails to frustrate me

Amazing - almost all of what he says is not matched when i go to the search console web page. Cant Google make this a little more transparent?

This is not very clear for everyone.
It would not be that difficult to clean this instruction up a bit. For example:
What exactly do you mean by" Don't remove the verification code" I'm not sure if that means, not turning off the computer or a bunch of other possibilities. For instance, why would someone possibly want or need to remove the DNS RECORD, For what reason/s would they want or need to do that? Can this happen by turning the computer off OR closing the tab, OR hitting the verify button over and over again? OR hitting Verify Later. Why is there a verify later option, does this cancel the verify request . I could go on further. Anyway, just saying that I would give C+ or a B- for this instruction. The bottom line is that there is a lot of room for making mistakes if one was to follow this instruction.

Ridiculous as usual by Google. Although this video is outdated it is still linked within the search console registration process. Years ago it was easier by just adding the verification code to the head section of the website.

This video is a complete waste of time, he basically tells you nothing.

This doesn't make any sense. I'm confused on how to get the TXT

Useless. I would need to know how to verify. I know my self that I have to click "copy"and "verify"button without anyone telling me. The core of the info that one would expect, however, for the guy does not feel like explaining. This must be a joke.

If you are using Cloudflare: Log in, select the domain and go to DNS. Click on add records: Type - TXT, Name - @, TTL - Auto, Content - "Link copied from google"

My domain is properly configured by an ICANN registered provider longer than google has existed. Google has no business being a part of such registration. It is confusing why this even needs to to be done when you can whois any domain. Please verify why Google needs to verify what is already completed.
Maybe google needs help with whois guarded sites..but we already uploaded a file in home directory for that as well..hmmm..
Then of course the SSL is verified by a well known company as well. And Legal business is registered..
Sooo, why does google need anything more? Do you want to sell something to all the spammers that every website, domain owner has to unnecessarily deal with and the very reason for having whois guard services?? It is best practices for All amateurs to NOT mess with your domain registration without verifying from your ICANN accredited Registrar.
..maybe you would like to take an experimental bio-warfare virus vaccine that is known to kill people and weaken immune systems too ..or do your part to STEAL another election!! ..such nice alien advice, LOL
