The last of us is actually based on a real life fungi, but it only affects insects, the insects have there brains taken over, then it dies and grows spores, infecting more and more insects, it grows on the forest floor.

I'm a 19 year old, and watching this literally made me tear up like the first time when I played this game back in June of 2013... I only played through the story once and haven't even touched the game since then because I knew that the feels would be too much for me to handle.
