Stop blame Blizzard its a small indie company! How can you manage a 20 year old game with already finished functions so poorly. It's not like they're introducing something completely new. You only have to install ONLY 2 bg's that already exist into the new classic servers without burning the entire game down.

Problem is that if/when Blizzard tells us no game breaking items made it into anniversary, who’s going to believe them?

People keep throwing around this 10k gold profit that apparently every AV person made. This is false. Even with an Onyxia Hide Bag and rest 16 slots, they only stack to 5. Even if a person went into two AV's before they closed them down, and assuming they filled up every bag slot in both AV's. Even selling a good portion for 7-9g per, they would make between 4k-6k gold. It's a far cry from 10k gold. Also Blizzard has stated they have no way to just magically roll back servers, they stated its not how the servers operate. Also while we are on the topic of debunking, no net new gold was introduced into the game. So this sudden belief that there is going to be rampant inflation. Calm down. Gold changed hands from player to player. Most of the gold came most likely from bots sniping. The buying power of one player transferred to another player. You may argue that any boons remaining will create a gold dump deficit for players. But that is assuming that each reboot does not contain the code to wipe this ID, and that every player will keep their chrono boons in constant mail limbo to protect them.

If blizzard were a plumber they would connect the shower to the toilet. How and why does this shit happen not once, not twice, three, four FIVE times now. That code seems to bleed over into other versions of wow? Im not a coding genius but can't code be put inside its own sealed section called CLASSIC and another called SOD which wont allow A N Y T H I N G to bleed into one another?

Interesting that SoD and this classic server can be merged like this. So that means, in the background, both version of the games uses same database and the code behind it is all connected to eachother.

What I would expect, is that the Classic client would crash, when they get into bgs with SoD players. Since how can your client understand the code that the SoD client players have.

Yet again another reason why private servers are run better. Remember in wotlk clasic when they unlocked a ranked item on accident, took it away and then allowed people to keep it giving some players in ranked unfair advantage. Or how about the growing botpocalypse on all their servers? I've seen 1 bot on turtle wow in 2 weeks playtime. I feel blessed.

I wouldn't be so quick to judge incompetence. Realistically the higher ups above the classic team are controlling their employee counts and budgets. Running on super thin time margins. The way Blizz is I doubt there's more than 15 people on the classic wow team, who maintain different versions and release cadence of everything on time at pace demanded by the higher ups meaning less quality control and more bugs. Worse, makes it even less likely bots will ever get meaningfully dealt with as they are likely a sizeable portion of the income classic wow is making.

Been a while since I played so don't remember if you are able to do that but if so it might have been a possible workaround.
