16th of a line of aggressive Rimworld tips and tricks~
Come say hi on my first Vod video too~
And don't forget to subscribe!

Rimworld has a lot of different ways you can build your home. From the super complex mega structures, to my preferred hole in the wall mountain bases. I find them much safer and easier to manage, and im sure you will too~

Open bases are fine and dandy until a pigskin with Molotov cocktails lands in your kitchen

I would rather deal with bugs and having to fortify a single entrance heavily rather than lightly fortifying an entire base all around

Best single base mod I've ever downloaded.
Impassible map marker, it's just a giant brick that you can tinker with, part challenging while also letting you do what ever you really want to do

Love mountain bases. With at least one pawn with tunneler meme ideology I can build fungal floor, so I don't even need to have my crops outside. I keep a dark room deep in the mountain to lure infestations there, and when one comes my first think is "good, some bug meat to make kibble"

My current mountain base, everyone has dementia now, because I didn't know tox gas grenades could do that. Wasters are now my least favorite raiders now, lol.

Infestation? I think you mean my food delivery

I shamelessly turn off bugs because life on the rim is hard enough and i like cozying up in my cave base.

*Insects make it more challenging and fun plus its realistic honestly if your a REAL riwmorld player you eventually start building bases in mountains after many renovations and rebuilding and learning from mistakes and start realizing mountain bases are better plus theyre is something cozy about a colony in a mountain...*

I’m still fairly new to rimworld and I’m looking to branch out soon but I have always used mountainous regions and mountains as defense it’s nice to know exactly where I’m going to be attacked from so I can make a nice funnel and cover

Drop a couple in you hallways and done! Easy way to defend your colony from the inside.

I like urban colonies

Its not about minmaxing, its about making the game fun

As someone who prefers open city colonies, i absolutely agree, it’s much harder to defend against enemies and weather events like cold snaps or fallout, the heating is expensive and messy, and the steel for wires gets absurd.

Still gonna keep doing it though, i like how it looks better

Good video. Enjoying these. I like that its short, has useful information, and a bit funny. Makes a nice short burst of rimworld, and fits the game's vibe honestly. I like when a video respects my time. ^_^

Exactly! Bugs are merely mild annoyances. While drop pod raids just piss me off.

It also protects you from siege raids.

Quick tip for dealing with Bugs. Separate your base with section with strong door and keep it open. Close whenever bugs spawn (Use embrasure if you want for easy kill) Oh, and consider building a Wooden chair in every room. You know what to do with it.

Hear me out, what about a bit of both?

But they take SO LONG to build and make them look nice. It’s an enormous time commitment - just to get wiped out by the plague or malaria.
