The fact that game 1 is against mill is hilarious. Opponent worked so hard to mill 20 of your cards and then you use Balustrade Spy to help mill the rest.

My old friend from middle school told me the story that when he drafted for the first time ever in Gatecrash nobody told him he could play a 40 card deck so he played a 60 card boros deck. His first opponent was a dimir mill deck that wasnt able to mill his big deck out and lost. After the games his opponent was like "you know youre allowed to play a 40 card deck right?"

At 37:53 the line to win with battle of wits was to use the +1 of Karn on your chalice to blow it up!
That would have allowed you to complete the rest of the trick as planned, casting "an offer u can't refuse" on your spell
