Great car like your duster I had to move my 77 doba with a 383 out of my homemade paint booth it is a leanburn conversion car been sitting in there close to a year started it and moved it not one Ignition issue a blue ECU #1 thing is to have solid wiring from the bulkhead to the rest of the car. I have Had this car 25 yrs never once needed a points distributor in fact none of the other Mopars I have... have had an problem with ECU... 99% of the time it's the wiring and being that our cars are 45yrs old or older it's to be expected and carrying a spare is just good prepper practice. And I posted a video of its cold start with all of it valvetrain noise.

Sounded like she’s running just fine. Like the patina on that car 👍🇺🇸

Love the Duster, it sounds good with the cam in it and clean motor, I wouldn't be afraid to get in it and go cross country with it if the tires are good, how is drag truck coming along? I put the tubular control arms on my pinto today so that is a step closer to getting done with it 😎

Hummm you and UTG are points guys! Points never let you down, I think UTG proved points perform better than electronic. Make sure use the right points, cheap ones wear the rubbing blocks out, UTG did a video on it. Good you have it running, now do some burnouts! :)

If I remember correctly this Duster still has a 2.76 gear, and ran low 15’s?

Love the setup you have going there. Are you running stock compression or have you upgraded? Also, what heads are you running?

Someone put an electronic ignition in my 69 d100 318 that I bought.
If I want to go back to points, what all will I need?

I had the same thing happen to me. Shut it down and wouldn't restart. The ignition pickup in the distributor was my issue when it got hot.

Is that the 318 with the Summit 1789 cam?
It sounds pretty good. I still have that cam new in the box....and the 6901 new in the box....I decided to go with a Lunati for more lift.

Look s like 12 volts to coil no ballast resistor will burn up coil . Mopar electronic much better.

I'd trade my 58 Desoto runner for that car. About the same condition.

Squeaky pedal hing get ya grease'n . learn from my mistake dont leave the vehicle sitting for several months with ethanol gas in the system . the ethanol separates from the gas and forms clear gelatinous chunks that clog up the ports in the pump and carbs
