The baritone performs Harry Somers' composition with pianist Denise Gaudry. Evocations is a four-part song cycle on texts written by Somers himself. The work was commissioned by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Somers intended it to evoke the atmosphere and sounds of Canada, with a particular emphasis on darkness and the cold. Taken from a performance at the Leah Posluns Theatre in Toronto on March 5, 1978.

II. "Shattered light, refracted silver shimmers" 4:09
