Kadala Parippu Payasam( Chana Dal ki Kheer) is one of the traditional sweet dishes in Kerala. It is also the main dish in Onam Sadhya recipes. This south Indian recipe also called "Kadalaparippu Pradaman".
Ingredients for Chana dal ki kheer (Kadala Parippu Payasam)
Chana Dal 1.5 Cup (300g)
Jaggery Powder 2.5 cups (300g to 350 g)
Grated Coconut 350 g
1st Milk 1.5 Cups 370 ml
2nd Milk 2.5 Cups 625 ml
Raisin 30 g
Cashewnuts 25 to 30 g
Sliced Coconut Pieces 40 g
Sugar (Optional)
Half tablespoon
Cardamom 4-5 Nos
Dry Ginger 1 Small Piece
Cumin Seeds 1 teaspoon
Ghee (Total 4 tablespoon)
Salt 2 Pinch
