Malfunction Chart for “Error 1” and “Error E”:
Error ‘1’ (Bit 0 to 3)
Bit ‘0’ (Speedometer input signal)
Bit ‘0’ displaying ‘1’ - No input signal. When no signal is detected for 30 seconds continuously with the ignition ON, it should be judged as signal malfunction (If input signal is detected later, then the error will be cancelled immediately.)
Bit ‘0’ displaying ‘2’ - Unusual input signal. When any signal of frequency which would not exist in normal conditions is detected, it should be judged as signal malfunction.
Bit ‘0’ displaying ‘0’ - No Malfunction
Bit ‘1’ (Tachometer input signal)
Bit ‘1’ displaying ‘1’ - No input signal. When no signal is detected for 30 seconds continuously with the ignition ON, it should be judged as signal malfunction (If input signal is detected later, then the error will be cancelled immediately.)
Bit ‘1’ displaying ‘2’ - Unusual input signal. When any signal of frequency which would not exist in normal conditions is detected, it should be judged as signal malfunction.
Bit ‘1’ displaying ‘0’ - No Malfunction
Bit ‘2’ (Fuel level input signal)
Bit ‘2’ displaying ‘1’ - Short circuit. When short circuit of the signal line is detected for 5 seconds or more, it should be judged as short-circuit malfunction.
Bit ‘2’ displaying ‘2’ - Open circuit. When short circuit of the signal line is detected for 5 seconds or more, it should be judged as open-circuit malfunction.
Bit ‘2’ displaying ‘0’ - No Malfunction
Bit ‘3’ (Water Temperature input signal)
Bit ‘3’ displaying ‘1’ - Short circuit. When short circuit of the signal line is detected for 5 seconds or more, it should be judged as short-circuit malfunction.
Bit ‘3’ displaying ‘2’ - Open circuit. When short circuit of the signal line is detected for 5 seconds or more, it should be judged as open-circuit malfunction.
Bit ‘3’ displaying ‘0’ - No Malfunction
Error ‘E’ (Bit 4 to 7)
Bit ‘4’ (Reset buttons)
Short circuit for reset buttons. When the short circuit is continuously detected for 5 seconds or more it should be judged as short-circuit malfunction.
Bit ‘4’ displaying ‘1’ - Right side reset button has malfunctioned
Bit ‘4’ displaying ‘2’ - Left side reset button has malfunctioned
Bit ‘4’ displaying ‘3’ - Both reset buttons have malfunctioned
Bit ‘4’ displaying ‘0’ - No Malfunction
Bit ‘5’ (CPU)
Bit ‘5’ displaying ‘1’ - CPU ram malfunction
Bit ‘5’ displaying ‘0’ - No Malfunction
