Younger viewers on this channel who weren't alive or aware in the early 2000s might not believe this, but at one point in time, Ubisoft used to be the UNDERDOG. They were the makers of charming, soulful games that nobody bought. At every physical retailer you'd get a free copy of Splinter Cell if you bought Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (and not like some weird double-disc case, I mean the cashier would hand you a separate, new, boxed copy of Splinter Cell), and Beyond Good & Evil went from $50 US down to $20 US less than three months after it launched.
