Even tho Sean is better when it comes to the screams, you gotta respect Nozawa for still voicing Goku despite being in her late 80s. Most people would probably retire by then, but the fact that Nozawa still breathes life into the character shows how much she dedicates the franchise.

I love my Japanese sub, but when it comes to dbz, Goku's voice doesn't compliment his masculinity. There are but a handful of series that I'd listen to in English Dub, and this is one of them. The main characters have amazing voice actors and their portrayals are pretty on point

Love the English versions and the Japanese versions. BUT I just can't watch the Japanese versions without pissing myself laughing at those high pitched baby voices.. And yeah just watching them in general power up they always look constipated so don't watch it with me I will be giggling the whole way through...

I love both a lot. They each offer their own strengths in my opinion. Love Sean's yells, so intense. And i love the contrast of Nozawa when she gets to be serious, angry, or silly . She hits all of them just well as Sean, often better. Just dont forget she was picked for what was originally a gag anime with some fights.

This is the only anime I watch in dub. Goku's voice in Japanese just sounds weird, way too high pitched for him, and Sean Schemmel did a fantastic job.

Get chills from both yells! Both are equally good in their own ways, in my opinion i prefer Sean as the general voice of Goku and his screams cause he sounds like hes actually giving his all and even sounds like hes in pain, Nazowas gives it a much more crisper and more proudful yell as if she was having fun...
Like the difference between Man of steel and Christopher reeves supermans....
