Check out the HyperFlame FyreKnight Camping Stove from Coleman here:

Reliable, robust and convenient, it’s no wonder the HyperFlame FyreKnight stove from Coleman is one of our most popular camping stoves.

Burning hot and cooking fast, this stove has WindBlock pot supports to provide space for larger pots, tough high-performance design with a heavy-duty latch, shock-absorbing corner bumpers, and independently adjustable flame control with a total output of 24,000 BTU’s.

In this video, our gear expert Ben talks you through everything you need to know about the HyperFlame FyreKnight from Coleman. He starts out with the packed and in-use dimensions of the unit, what you get with the stove, what gas cylinders you can attach it to, the features of the stove, and gas consumption and burn time.

Then Ben connects the stove up to a gas bottle, ignites the stove, and turns down the flame to show you how to get it to simmer. He finishes the video with what compatible accessories are available – so check it out above for all the details.

This guy is the best. Knows his stuff and is honest. You should get him to do all your videos.

Just an FYI. I watched another video earlier where a guy fixed the difficulty in getting a low simmer. On another Coleman stove, with the same issue, he removed the flame control knob by unscrewing the central screw, loosened the brass nut under it and removed it.
He then put the control knob back on and used it to unscrew the shaft that goes in to the stove. There were 2-rubber gaskets on the shaft
With way too much dark grease all over them. He cleaned this gunk off with a paper towel, then put a thin coat of silicone lube on the gaskets. He also rolled up a piece of paper towel and rotated it into the hole to help remove any more of the factory grease. Put everything back together and like magic, you now can adjust down to a low simmer. Way better than before.!

Another great review...Snowys is no1 in Oz for camping reviews without a doubt. PS.. I would love to be a customer in the background on one of these videos lol !

Bought this stove two days ago but had to take back to Anaconda (Jack was brilliant by the way), I was already aware that I would need to remove the two controllers, remove the excess grease and lubricate, this allows for better control of flame. I took the unit back because the trivets would not sit in there receptors, turns out another customer who happened to wander by had same issue and he said the two male pieces on the trivet needed to be bent out a little which we did and they then sat in place correctly. What I will say is that Coleman need to get their house in order, both problems have been known for some time but Coleman's quality control is seriously lacking. We removed two other stove's from there boxes both had the same trivet problem.

A nice and comprehensive review 👍
I've got one of these, and some people do say that it can't simmer. It can be a little fiddly to do sometimes, but as shown it can do it. The dial control is probably one of it's weakest points, but it makes up for it by being really good across the rest of the board.

I’m actually investigating quitting my full time job, and work camping with the hubby, a few years down the road. I hand dye yarn on the side. I would never use the inside stove. If I had one of these outside, I could dedicate it just for dyeing. Thanks for the info!

Best cooker ive ever had. Full flame and simmer is literally about a 15mm turn on the knob and from simmer to losing the flame completely is about 2mm haha. Yes its tidious but get used to its traits and you'll love it.

Good demo. If you are using the disposable propane bottles where do you put them if the stove is on that stand ? I have the Coleman Triton stove which has served me well to date, although the piezo ignition packed it in early in its life

Another Fantastic video! Can I ask why the disposable Companion propane bottles doesn't work with mine? Does it only work with a Coleman branded one? Thx

Is the fitting on the unit such that you can’t use any other fitting other than the regulator it comes with? I ask because I love this unit but want to use it on a regulated gas supply on a camper. Nothing else seems as well designed or as hot as this unit and as it’s designed to run on a 2.8kpa regulated supply, it seems a pity not to be able to bypass the regulator to use a caravan one. I know you said you can’t but I want to double check.

It is possible to simmer & cook bacon eggs etc without burning it. All it takes is a steady hand, just set dial to least amount of gas as possible. Took me a while to figure it out but got it down pat now.
Only question I have is what is the difference between this and the FyreCadet??

Hey great video! Please can you tell me about the stand you're using? Could you link me with the product?
Thanks

Often you’ll find you can get a better simmer going after its been running for a time and well heated up. Its still not super low, but low enough for most things. Otherwise trying to get it on simmer straight after igniting it will drive you nuts.

Hey, what stand are you using for this stove? I can’t find one big enough

Eliminating the side windshields is a great idea. How well is the flame protected from wind when it is down low?
The regulator pipe looks pretty vulnerable to being knocked and eventually busted. Anyone had experience? High flames are a no-brainer with gas, but a good controllable low heat is where good cooking is really at.

Anyone else have the howling, hum problem?

When cooking, it makes a very loud howl noise. Happening on my brand new unit and a friends brand new unit has the same. You have to move the pot or pan 1/3 off the burner so stop the noise.

It’s light the mental is singing. Might have to dint the silver bits to stop the frequency vibration or something. Happy to film it

Hi guys, I have the Hyperflame FyreKnight and agree that simmering can be a challenge, so I bought an OzPig heat diffuser for about $20-00. Problem solved :)

Most stove complaints are about rack warping. I can only assume that it's that much worse at 24K BTUs.

Great video - I lost my regulator. Can you suggest an alternative or do you think it's best to just get a Colman's one? Cheers.

Is the a way to clean the burners? I bought one second hand and one of the burners tends to go out when it's a reasonable sized flame. Can you please give me some pointers on this? Thx
